Explore surface decoration techniques with Kevin Kowalski. An expert in Mocha Diffusion and thick slip application techniques, we are thrilled to have Kevin back for another exciting workshop. Kevin will demonstrate his perfected techniques of throwing and surface decoration. In this hands-on, one-day workshop, participants will then have a chance to throw and decorate pieces of their own using Kevin's expert tips.

PARTICIPANTS: This is a hands-on workshop, open to potters with previous throwing experience. Participants should come prepared with a bag of their preferred clay body, favorite throwing tools, and some soft paint brushes.

Artist Bio: Kevin Kowalski was born in raised in Southern California and graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from California State University, Fullerton. He also earned his Master’s in Education from Concordia University, Irvine and teaches Ceramics full time at Esperanza High School in Anaheim, Ca. He lives in Placentia, CA with his wife Abi and two daughters Gemma and Tessa. He teaches workshops and online classes about his clay process and his work has been featured on many blogs and social media accounts including Insider Art, Bored Panda and My Modern Met.
