Looking to meet other artists passionate about clay while gaining skills and practical experience in the ceramics field? Apply to BRP! Bitter Root takes ongoing applications at all our open locations. There are multiple positions - scroll through and see which is right for you.

POSITION - TEACHERS

This is a part-time position to start. Teachers are independent but also do great working in teams. Teachers are disciplined, have solid discernment skills and are accountable for their actions. Teachers have excellent attendance and are always thorough in their preparations and clean up.

Teachers provide guided instruction to kids and/or adults according to any current CDC guidelines. Teachers follow the BRP Steps to Throwing and maintain a high-energy, SAFE, welcoming environment. Teachers know how to adapt to different scenarios and personalities - not all students are the same!

Applicants for teaching positions should have 2+ years of WHEEL-THROWING EXPERIENCE. Those who are not competent in wheel-throwing should NOT apply to this position. Teaching experience in ceramics is an obvious plus (as well as customer service) but we will train the right person who has strong wheel-throwing experience and good people skills.

Teachers must demonstrate their ability to throw basic forms during the interview.

CPR Certification a plus but not required

BRP staff are independent, disciplined, have solid time-management and discernment skills. Staff are always hospitable and welcoming to anyone who walks through the door!
